Website Design

Carefully knitting together Search Engine Optimisation and Web design Creating websites that are easily found, designed to look great and a pleasure to navigate is truly a difficult skill. There are many website designers who do not understand their customer and want to create a copy of previous work and replicate across industries from Car sales to nut and bolt manufacturers but many web designers forget one thing…their target audience. Some web designers choose to make their sites easy to navigate but forget that people are no longer interested in clicking into layer after layer of content to be directed to what they want. The more common of mistakes from web designers of late is making their site visible to search engines and forgetting that people want a platform that is pleasing on the eye and easy to navigate.

Juno Web design have created these does and don’ts to highlight our expertise in creating website platforms that encompass the 3 golden rules, Visibility, Content and Usability. Designing a website around Visibility (Search Engine Optimisation, SEO) All kinds of techniques are surfacing recently as people start to understand the complex algorithms that are crucial to the success of the better search engines. Search engines have “spiders” that will crawl sites night and day to understand websites and all pages of the site whether on the home page or small pages 200 layers down on the tree map of web pages much like opening a folder on your desktop.

Search engines do not look at websites like humans will and therefore emotion counts for nothing, Google will not look at a website and think, “this is a nice website to use for what I am searching” but will instead apply numbers to variables that make a website, these include but are not limited to:

The URL; (website address) e.g. www flaschcars co.uk The next layer URL and so on; www flashcars co.uk/forsale/cheap/redferrari The written content; there is no point wondering off a subject and talking about trees on a car sale website.

The images; (images cannot be looked at and perceived as relevant, e.g. a picture of a tree on www flashcars .co.uk who’s file name is cheap red Ferrari would be seen as Google the same as a real image).

All of these variables will be given weighted marks and Google will decide if your page is most relevant and therefore higher up on search engines compared to others. Put simply Search Engine Optimisation or SEO is helping those spiders crawl over a site rather than through and into a complex myriad of layers.

Designing a website around Content

Once a Web designer has understood the client’s requirements for content only then can the site be mapped out. A classical guitar company gave Juno Media a full specification and it became clear that the same cutting edge design used on the Nottingham restaurants guide website, Go dine, would not be relevant. Guitar buyers and dealers are more concerned with the actual product and the content therein rather than an easily to navigate marketing platform. Of course SEO considerations need to occur but the audience looking for Classical Guitars would perhaps be older, more discerning and not looking for bold colours or draws, but instead let the products do the talking and the written content around the side be aimed at this audience.

Web designers therefore have to remove themselves away from the technical aspects of their day jobs and become a fan or customer of those products concerned. Web design around usability

Usability of website and the design must coincide with the relevancy of content. Again a web designer must think through the eyes of visitors and understand if I were looking for a car and I was looking at the advert placed what options would I want, e.g. a buying option, similar makes, models, ages, colours options and how would this fit in with visibility and content.

Juno Media use the latest techniques to understand what our customers want and with so many considerations such as Web design, Web Content and Web usability Juno bring these together seamlessly.

What makes Juno’s work better than anyone else’s?

Being a young and vibrant team Juno Media embrace change and the latest technological advancements in SEO, web layout and web design. Juno create simple websites where if mapped out our sites are not pyramid in shape but instead are relatively flat. By using static pages and linking static pages together to create landing pages content tailored around that exact search term can be created. Juno’s web design has moved completely away from database management where a page template is created and specific fields are generated so a cheap red Ferrari for sale is shown on a Juno designed website as www flashcars co.uk/redferrariforsale AND NOT www.flashcars.co.uk/ref7890c /vehicle/-/color_37=red/make_ref=46-ferrari Juno web design truly are pioneers in search engine optimisation and Web design and would only be too pleased to discuss face to face rather than at the end of an email inbox.

Due to the recent declines in the housing market, real estate competition has become more intense than ever before. To succeed, companies need to implement effective marketing campaigns and increase their quality of service. Several tactics are available to incorporate into your overall strategy, and depending on your unique situation, some options may be more valuable than others.

When talking to a prospect, remember to look at the situation from their point of view. Question them so that you understand their priorities and what they are looking for in a property. If they have kids, for example, that narrows their housing choices down considerably. The more you know about a prospective client, the better.

Property developers also need to utilize as many selling tools as possible to satisfy customers. When presenting models of properties, advanced computer generated imaging should be taken advantage of, as opposed to conventional drawings or drafts. In fact, CGI has become so cheap that nearly any established developer can afford it. Clients want to see exactly how a property is going to turn out, and CGI is the perfect option to achieve that desire.

All firms, real estate or not, require an online presence to achieve their full potentials. Having a platform on the Internet allows clients to easily see visuals, download brochures, and express to visitors the benefits of choosing to settle in a specific area. Websites allow you to quickly collect information on prospects, and build a database. With that database, you can send out a message to mass amounts of people at the click of a button. For promotional reasons, search engine optimization should be heavily focused on, as search engine visitors are the highest converting.

Instead of spending huge sums of money on advertising, why not focus on public relations and publicity to spread brand knowledge? After all, publicity is free and more believable than paid advertising. Whenever a newsworthy company event occurs, a press release should be written and distributed to a number of online press release websites, as well as editors of local newspapers. Chances are that every website will accept your release and a few newspapers will feature a short story.

One of the hottest topics up for debate is the environment. Global warming, climate change, and energy concerns fill the minds of billions of people around the world. Most of America has now become environmentally conscious, and businesses need to accommodate for and accept this fact. Therefore, as a developer, it is integral that you incorporate green technologies into all of your properties. Not only will this make clients more excited and willing to do business with you, but you will be doing your part to help the environment and promote sustainability of the human race.

Huge sources of prospects include social networks and Web 2.0 websites, where visitors converse with each other and contribute to the site itself. Businesses that can effectively establish themselves in these kinds of websites often see huge increases in their customer bases. This is because prospects on social networks are more apt to trust companies that are part of the same groups they are. However, before you start to see measurable results from any social networks, you need to work on becoming well known and respected within that network, which can take months or even years.

You drive by one day and there it is, a for sale sign, planted in the neighbors yard or, in this case, posted on their carport wall. You think this is sudden, you didn’t even know they were considering moving. It really didn’t just happen overnight. Successful home marketing starts months before you see the sign and is the result of planning, preparation and teamwork.

Currently I am working with a young couple in Yuba City who have made a decision to move into a larger home in preparation for starting a family. My plan is to write a series of articles and blog updates on what we encounter along the way. I would like to think this will be a smooth journey with no issues or problems but experience tells me we will encounter our share of challenges. My goal is to help prepare others for similar experiences.

Background: I originally helped Randi buy her condo several years ago when she was single and working in Sacramento. She was referred to me by Rebecca, who is a friend and client and worked with Randi. We hit it off well and did some searching around Sacramento for a small house. At the time there was not much in her price range that felt right for a young single woman. Since she had grown up in Yuba City and had friends and family there, it was an easy decision to move our search. We found a great condo/townhouse in The Grove and for the money we were able to get her a safe place to live, plenty of room and the amenities provided by the home owners association.

Today Randi is married to a great guy, has a new job in the Yuba City area and she and Tony have decided to move to a larger house in preparation for the next step in their life together. Since we kept in touch, they called me for advice and have now hired me to market their home.

The first thing we did was start the planning process. Since there were no hard dates we had the time we wanted to determine the price range of the new house, get pre-approved for a loan and understand what the costs were to make the move. Then there were a hundred other things that Randi and Tony needed to think about when making this kind of decision!

To help get the house ready I spent an afternoon with Randi and Tony at their townhouse. We went from room to room and developed a punch list of things we wanted to do to before we put the house on the market. Some of the tasks included, updating old kitchen appliances, painting, new baseboards, removing clutter and de-personalizing the house. We even decided to do some landscaping work in and around their unit. They developed a budget and started to work.

The results of their hard work really make a difference. It has gone from a comfortable townhouse to one that sparkles and makes it easy for a potential buyer to see themselves living there. With a little help from me and a great deal of work from them we have a home ready to market and one that shows very well.

Using some outside expertise, developing a plan and preparing the house to be sold has gotten us off to a great start. We have a home that shows well, is priced right and ready for a new owner to move into with little or no work. In addition we are pre-approved for a new loan and know there are some great houses in our price range. Finally, Randi and Tony have realistic expectations about the journey they are starting.

Will Randi and Tony be having a barbeque party in their new back yard this summer? Will I be invited to the party? Stay tuned, I will be posting updates and future articles here and on my website, www.jalone.com. If you want to be notified about updates, send an email to ForSale@jalone.com. If you are interested in seeing this great townhouse it can be seen here.

Are you thinking about putting up your computer repair business for sale?

Or are you on the other side of the table and looking to buy an existing computer repair business for sale?

Either way, don’t let this major transaction be an afterthought. Planning ahead is key for buyers and sellers alike.

Future planning and especially having an exit strategy is something many computer repair business owners don’t necessarily think about as they build their companies. However, you have to think about how you can make your business not only profitable, but also appealing to future buyers once you decide it’s time to move on, for whatever reason.

The following 3 tips can help you develop an exit strategy so you are ready once you decide to move on and put your computer repair business for sale. And if you’re looking to buy an existing business, consider this a quick checklist of what determines tangible value.

Set Your Prices Right from Day 1. Many new and inexperienced owners make the mistake of charging too little, often WAY too little, for their computer repair services. One of the biggest causes of this is a copycat billing rate structure. New computer computer repair business owners often will find out what a competitor is charging down the street and will simply charge the same, without looking at the company’s business structure or whether that rate really works for their specific type of business. Also, how do you know this competitor knows what he/she is doing when it comes to setting prices? And do you know anything about this competitor’s technical competence? You need to determine your own pricing structure based on sound financial projections and your value proposition. And make sure that your pricing structure makes your business profitable and thus appealing to future buyers once you decide it’s time to put up your computer repair business for sale. Focus on Getting Clients … Not Customers. New and inexperienced computer repair business owners often spend a lot of time chasing down one-shot deal customers, keeping their fingers crossed that these people will call them in a few months or a few years. Your business is not going to be successful or appealing to future buyers if you base your services on the needs of one-shot deal customers. Spending all that time and money acquiring customers for tiny, unpredictable projects is not going to be financially lucrative. A computer repair business that offers on-going service agreements will grow a stable client list and have recurring revenue and predictability, as well as the ability to hire more staff. And all of these benefits will make the business very appealing to those that might want to buy it when you need to or want to get out. Create Curb Appeal for Your Computer Repair Business for Sale. If you’ve ever watched one of those real estate TV shows that detail how they fix up a home about to be sold to make it more appealing, you’ve probably heard the term “curb appeal.” However it’s also easily applicable to a computer repair business for sale. If you ever want to be able to sell your computer repair company – if you move, get bored, get burnt out, get injured or pass away – the list of your clients on annual service agreements will become one of your few tangible assets. For the overall valuation of your computer repair business, you of course need to consult your trusted accounting advisor. But, as an example of how valuable on-going service contracts are, if your company has been averaging $200,000 per year in pure consulting revenue for the past 3 years and ¾ of that ($150,000) is locked in on annual service agreements, you have a pretty nice asset for someone thinking about acquiring your business at a multiple of your overall gross revenue. On other hand, how much do you think a competitor would pay to purchase a list of one-shot deal cheapskate customers that just call once in a while? Without on-going service agreements, you are starting from scratch every single month. You need to cultivate your list of service agreement clients to prepare a very desirable computer repair business for sale… one with curb appeal.

In this article we talked about 3 ways to make your business more appealing for sale and plan for an exit strategy. Learn more about how to succeed on either side of the table with a computer repair business for sale that attracts great, steady, high-paying clients now at http://www.ComputerRepairBusiness-ForSale.com

A domain represents the unique name assigned to an organization or individual on the Internet. For instance, we are all familiar with names such as google.com, microsoft.com, and so on. A particular name (domain) may only be owned by one person or company. To use an analogy, a domain represents your “street address” where you live on the Internet. It uniquely identifies where you can be found. Having a straight-forward, easy to remember domain is crucial to your business success.

The domain name is comprised of several parts. The last part of the domain (e.g., .com) is referred to as the top-level domain (TLD). In theory, the TLD represents a type of entity. For instance, .com stands for “commercial”. It was originally meant to be for commercial enterprises (business), but that has become something of a misnomer as even people with personal websites use the .com TLD.

Other popular TLDs include:
> .net – originally meant to signify Network organizations such as Internet Service Providers (ISP)
> .edu – Education establishments (colleges/universities)
> .mil – Military
> .org – Non-profit organizations
> .gov – Government organizations
> .biz – a business
> .name – individual/person
> .info – information service

There are others as well such as: .aero, .pro, .coop, and so on. In addition, there are TLDs assigned to countries (e.g., .ca for Canada).

Before you can launch your site on the Web, you will need a domain name. There are literally hundreds of millions of domains already taken so you may have to be creative in finding the name you want. It can be frustrating at times, so brew yourself a pot of coffee or grab your favorite beverage before you sit down to find that special domain that will become your address on the Web.

Several months ago, I was attempting to acquire a domain for a customer. I tried just about every combination of his actual business name to find one that was available. As is becoming much too common, I ran into a brick wall. Out of sheer frustration, I just randomly pounded my fingers on my keyboard and came up with sdfsdfsdf.com. I submitted that to the domain search. You probably know the punch line. To my total amazement that name was already taken. At that point, I decided I needed to take a walk around my garden.

But there is no way around it. If you plan to put your own site on the web, you will need to identify an available domain. Once you do so, you should purchase that name immediately as it may not be available the next day. If the name you want is already taken, you will have to find a different one. For instance, if you wanted the domain CandlesForSale.com, that is already taken. However, the name CandlesForSale.biz is available (as of the date this article was written). You could select the .biz name, or try to find an alternate such as Candles4sale.com, candles4u.com, candlesonline.com, and so on. All of those of course, are taken. By trying the different combinations you would find that candles-forsale.com is (currently) available.

It is much easier to find available domains ending in .biz,. info, and so on. The major problem with using any of these is that people are just inherently conditioned to type in the .com extension after the business name. If you did register the candlesforsale.biz name mentioned above, it is quite likely that people surfing the Web would type in candlesforsale.com instead. That of course, would lead to a competitor, which is not what you want to do.

Selecting just the right (available) domain name for your business can be a frustrating process, but it is important to get it right. Many people I have spoken to don’t seem to realize that your domain name is part of your branding; it represents who you are on the web. In many cases, the domain name is the first piece of information a potential customer may have about your business. Your domain name is every bit as important as the logo you put on your business card. If all else fails, check some of the domain auction sites to see if there is a good match available. You will have to pay more than normal, but in the long run, it may just be worth it.

Be creative, stay patient, and don’t break your keyboard as you go through this process.

Hola Everyone,

I started this update yesterday morning. I was sitting writing it at my desk which overlooks the Tomebamba river. The views are fabulous and I think how lucky we are to have such a view. The early part of today was a beautiful sunny 23 degree day. I could see clearly to the mountains. No clouds or rain were on the horizon. You never can tell here – it often rains later in the afternoons, and that is exactly what it did. It absolutely bucketed down in some parts, and the water in the river rose very quickly to its highest level that we have seen since arriving here.

But I digress. In the morning, before it rained, I enjoyed the view and the people-watching. Women were busy washing in the river and a family nearby was washing their taxi cab. The Dad would take the bucket down to the river for water, and then the wife and daughter helped wash the car. I know this makes this place sound like a real third world country but it’s not. Not everyone washes their clothes in the river or takes a bucket to collect water to wash their cars. This local custom, as one local mentioned, is also dying out and in the near future you will not see this being done.

I love shopping as it always amazes me at the price on items. Some are the same as at home and others are much cheaper. Here is some shopping trivia: I can now buy 12 roses for $2.25 at the supermarket. The price has actually gone up since we were here in February. A dozen cost me $1.45 then. They are cheaper at the flower markets in the city. And yesterday I bought two large sheets of Xmas paper, two black biros and a packet of sticky labels. The price for this was $1.00. I knew it was not going to be expensive but I was even a little surprised at how cheap this was.

There is really nothing much that I miss from my old home in Australia. My moisturizer may not be available here, but then I just make sure that any friends that come over from the US bring me some. People often ask what the bad things we find here are. Well to be quite honest with you I don’t find anything bad. If it’s not to my liking then it’s my problem. I chose to move here and so I accept everything as it is, and enjoy the changes and challenges.

We have made a great new acquaintance in an English speaking taxi driver. He has a wonderful sense of humour and we recently employed him to drive us and our friends to the coast and back. He took us in his Father’s Mitsubishi Montera so that we had plenty of room. On the way home we dropped our friends at Guayaquil as they were catching a flight back to Quito and we continued back to Cuenca – and talked non-stop all the way. The coast is quite warm compared to Cuenca and we asked why he did not use his air conditioning as this would be more comfortable, not only for temperature but also it would alleviate the noise and fumes from the passing traffic. He advised early in the trip that they it did not work but he was not sure. We had such a laugh when after we had dropped our friends at the airport and returned to a sweltering car, John decided to try-out the air-conditioning. Whooooo it worked brilliantly and we were able to drive home in absolute comfort. Even the driver laughed because he said he had never tried it before and only assumed it did not work. Air conditioners are rarely used in Cuenca. Then the next day after we returned to Cuenca he took us out again to show us a property in Gualacelo in his taxi.

But a funny thing happened on the way. The driver’s phone rang and he stopped the car on the side of the road to answer it. His window was open as it was a warm day. John was in the front passenger seat. A passing car then went flying by and I felt something slap me in the face. It was mud. The passing vehicle had gone through a puddle right next to where we were parked, splashing dirty water. It came flying through the drivers open window, mostly hitting him and John, but also me in the back seat. It was so funny. The drivers side of the car was covered with mud and so was that side of his face and shirt. John had a white shirt on and it was also splattered. I got out of it very lightly with only a few splats on me and the back seat.

I have been noticing the great quality of life people enjoy here. Generally most offices and shops close for lunch from 1 – 3p.m. I am a great people-watcher. Now I have a great view from my desk. For example, I regularly notice a young man dressed in his business attire walking up and down in front of our apartment. Very casually I might add. Then the school bus stops and he greets his young daughter. He takes her bag and gives her a piggy-back home while she chats and hugs her Dad. We know that every school day, our friend leaves work at lunch time and collects his 3 year-old son from day care and also takes him home. It seems to me that these young Dads get to spend some quality time with their kids during the middle of the day. It could also be a de-stresser for the Dads as they concentrate on the child before going back to work. From my perspective, I think it is great because even if the fathers work later in the evening they have had the chance to spend some quality time with their children.

Do you want to reach millions of potential customers for FREE! Well, you can if you know how. The Internet, that massive network of thousands of computers around the world, also know as the “Information Super Highway,” is your ticket to generating free leads and sales.

But beware the Internet is generally VERY MUCH AGAINST ANY COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY. The Internet was originally set up by the government for individuals and universities to have a massive database of information. The Internet has pretty much gotten out of control with its explosive growth over the past few months and years.

The Internet is know basically as an Anarchy. There isn’t really any how runs and regulates the Internet, at least not for now. So pretty much anything goes on the Net. But beware that there are several thousand Net users who have self-appointed themselves as the Net Police. The Net users have been know to devastate other Net users if they do not follow their rules. The rules are pretty basic: only post in areas that are related to your message, and DO NOT ADVERTISE! The world we live in is a very commercial one, and it was only a matter of time when someone realized that a vehicle, like the Internet, that had the capability to reach millions could be used to promote business. And so people began to conduct business on the Net by placing ads and sending unsolicited E-mail letters.

Several of these advertisers were in for a big surprise. Many of them have received thousands of hate mail letters known as “flames.” Their boxes were overflowed with hate mail that a lot of them were forced to go out of business online. Many of these self-appointed net policeman have even developed blacklists for advertisers. These lists are then sent to thousands of Net users and they can send these blacklist members hate mail until they leave the Net. So advertising is frowned upon on the Net and it makes several people very angry.

But that doesn’t mean that there is not a RIGHT way to do it. There are little unknown newsgroups on the Internet where advertising is actually welcome. You can place ads in these sections and have confidence that you will get some good response from them, and not much hate mail if any.

These newsgroups are:

alt.forsale alt.business.import-export alt.business.misc aol.misc-ads alt.make.money.fast biz.comp.software biz.comp.services biz.general biz.misc biz.next.newprod misc.forsale misc.entrepreneurs ns.forsale

THERE ARE SEVERAL MORE IF YOU DO SOME HUNTING FOR THEM. THERE ARE NEW NEWSGROUPS ADDED DAILY, AND SOME MAY WELCOME YOUR ADS.

These newsgroups have several sub topics for you to advertise in.

You can do some careful “digging” on the Internet and find some hidden areas to advertise in also if you look.

These newsgroups have the ability to be seen by millions, and for FREE!

Your ad will last about two weeks in each of these groups, at this time you should re-post your ads.

Keep track of your individual ad response. You may find some areas are extremely good for your business, and some aren’t. You will save time and money just concentrating on the good ones.

DO NOT JUST PLACE ADS ANYWHERE! Although you possibly could make some money by placing ads in all kinds of newsgroups, it will not outweigh the trouble you will go through to get it. There is no reason to anger several thousand people just to make a few bucks. You’ll make a lot more if you use good “netiquette” and develop a good Internet reputation for your business. If you are into Online Business do it for the long run, and you will be much better off. As more and more people come online everyday, you eventually be able to reach more and more potential customers.

One other way to do advertising, is sort of a “sneaky” but often welcomed way. Kind of like of press release, or editorial new product feature. “Donate” a nice article to one of the relevant topics in common with your business. Then at the end of your contributed article give a SHORT AND CONCISE “plug” for you product or service. Let them contact you for more information. Do not use the ad to do the selling, do that with information you will send them later.

You can also create what is called a “sig file” which stands for signature file. This is a footer that is added to the bottom of all of your posts. Your sig file can have your name, company, e-mail address, and any short sales message you would like others to see. This is a good place to tell others to e- mail you for more info on what you are marketing.

Planning to sell your home in Miami real estate? Selling your home is not that easy, it requires time and effort in preparing your home for sale.

There are plenty of things you have to do in order to make a quick sale in Miami real estate. The important things you should do, price your home in Miami real estate properly and appropriately, you have to work with a real estate agent, market your home by the use of the internet and of course you have to make sure your home is attractive enough to catch the attention of potential buyers.

Before posting advertisement that your home is for sale, you have to make your home attractive for potential buyers first. In preparing your home for sale requires time and effort as well. You have to paint the walls, ceilings, doors and windows and you can just use cheap paint as long as you clean the walls with soap and water before painting. You have to remove clutter. Clean the whole house and you have to decorate it, make it simple but modern. Clean your yard by mowing the lawn and cleaning the gutter.

There is one more thing you have to do which most seller and even real estate agent neglect most of the time. In selling your home, you have to create excellent flyer that describe your home. A lot of investors, as they drive and look for homes, they usually look for flyer box and get flyer. So it would be disappointing if your flyer box is empty. So as a seller in Miami real estate, if you really want your home to be sold faster, you have to put flyer on your flyer box and never leave it empty.

In doing a flyer, you have to make sure it is well-made and informative enough. Make sure that the things that most investors are looking for are in the flyer you made. There are important factors you have to bear in mind when making a flyer. You have to put the picture of your home in the flyer. You have to market your home through the internet, and you have to make sure that the website shows a lot about your home and put the website address to the flyer. Put the description of your home in the flyer such as the numbers of bedrooms, bathrooms, how huge the yard is, ad so on. You have to place the price of your home in Miami real estate as well.

You also have to make sure that all the details and contact information are written on the flyer.

Since you hire a real estate agent, you can put the name of your agent on the flyer as well.

As a piece of advice, you have to make sure that you will hire the best real estate agent, an agent that can represent you and help you out all through out your quest in selling your home in Miami real estate.

Indeed, in selling your home in Miami real estate, preparing your home for sale and hiring a real estate agent are very important. But do not forget to make flyers and putting them on your flyer box. Do not disappoint your potential buyers, so to sell your home quickly.
